I am is a tri-lingual (Spanish, Italian and English) Boricua who holds a BA in Psychology from Inter American University Puerto Rico, an MA in Family Counseling from University of Phoenix Puerto Rico, a Marriage and Family Therapy Certificate and an Autism Certificate from St. Cloud State University. I have been working with children and families for over 12 years. I have a wide range of experience from case management, day treatment, in-home, outpatient, mental health crisis stabilization and school-based therapy.  Currently, I am working as a Senior Social Worker with Hennepin County.

I am a volunteers member of the Coalicion de Boricuas en Minnesota under the Humanitarian committee. An organization created after the pass of the devastating hurricane Maria on the Puerto Rico archipelago. Recently I coordinated a Traumatology and EMDR training for mental health professionals and educators in Puerto Rico and am the co-creator of Kumbe a movement/fitness curriculum integrating the Afro-Caribbean movement and music to promote wellness and healing.

I am very passionate about the importance of creating safe and cultural sensitive spaces so families can develop, strengthen and strive. I believe in the power of educating communities and providers about the impact of trauma mental health and cultural awareness.

I work with individuals, families, and couples of all ages.
