Alfred is passionate about helping a diverse population of individuals, couples, and families improve their lives through a solution-oriented and strength-based approach. He believes that people are experts in their lives. He graduated from Argosy University, Twin-Cities, with a master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy. He utilizes therapy approaches like strategic, structural, and narrative to help individuals, couples and families achieved their desired outcomes during the therapeutic process. He implements a client-centered and motivational interviewing approach to help people develop a better awareness of their strengths. He utilizes psychoeducation to help clients learn how to apply their strengths consistently.
Alfred has a history providing individual, play, group, and family therapy to a diverse clientele in an intensive inpatient, school, community and outpatient setting. He also has experience working with trauma, depression, anxiety, and substance use disorders. He values a one day at a time approach, by helping clients learn how to focus on the “here and now.”
When not working, he enjoys exercising, playing basketball and spending time with family. He also engages in self-care activities like going for walks, reading, and listening to music. He values the importance of developing and maintaining healthy social-cultural, communication, intrapersonal, and interpersonal relationships.
